Last week, our Vice Chair Caroline Odera acted as a panelist at the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) side event during the Devolution Conference in Homa Bay 👏
The discussion, themed “International Trade as a Driver for Inclusive Development (Focus: AfCFTA and EAC as Tools for Promoting Inclusive Growth)”, explored how trade can advance inclusion and social justice.
Carol emphasized the critical role of Gen Z in shaping Kenya’s digital economy and highlighted practical strategies for government and partners, including:
✔️ Structuring youth opportunities into measurable economic impact
✔️ Investment in education and inclusive curricula on emerging technologies
✔️ Training youth in digital marketing to boost exports from counties
✔️ Supporting local innovation hubs and affordable co-working spaces
✔️ Organizing hackathons to co-create AI-driven solutions for local challenges
We are proud to see our leadership championing inclusive innovation and ensuring that hubs continue to be at the center of Kenya’s digital transformation 🚀
Our objective is to promote activities and programs of the member hubs and support their vision of testing and building impactful sustainable businesses in rural and second tire towns of Kenya.
