Hackathon on 13th Devolution Conference

Over 100 young coders from across Kenya have converged at TOM MBOYA UNIVERSITY for a thrilling 48-hour hackathon, co-creating digital solutions to boost public participation in governance.
In attendance was Chief guest, Principal Secretary, State Department for ICT and Digital Economy Eng. John Tanui, Homabay Governor, Hon. Gladys Wanga, Machakos Governor Hon. Wavinya Ndeti, CEO Council of Governors Ms. Mary Mwiti and other senior government officials.
This first-of-its-kind event marks an exciting kickoff to the ,DevolutionConference2025 where youth, innovation and purpose unite.
Through initiatives like the Kenya Digital Economy Acceleration Project (KDEAP), the ICT Authority is fostering an enabling environment for such innovations to thrive by strengthening digital infrastructure, skills and innovation ecosystems across all counties.
