We (the Blue Economy Summit) are delighted to welcome Savio Wambugu as a speaker at the event.

A current Director at ICT Authority Kenya, Savio Wambugu, is an accomplished software engineer with over a decade of experience in driving technological innovation. He serves as the President of the Association of Countrywide Innovation Hubs (ACIH), a network of over 156 hubs across Kenya dedicated to fostering innovation.

Savio is the founder of Mt Kenya Innovation Hub, which promotes emerging technologies in various sectors, and the co-founder of Mkulima Bora, a leading agribusiness platform in Africa.

In addition, Savio holds the position of Head of Innovations and Research & Development at the Kenya Footballers Welfare Association (the players' union) and acts as a technology consultant with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).

Savio has earned several prestigious accolades, including the Global Emerging Leaders Award (2022), the IPA Innovations Award – 4th in Africa, and Best Innovation Award (Mkulima Bora) at AITEC East Africa.
