Digital Platforms Kenya programme

We are proud to celebrate four of our member hubs selected among 15 innovation hubs countrywide to pilot #DigiKen, the Digital Platforms Kenya programme 🎉
LakeHub, WISEHUB, Northern Innovation and Empowerment Hub (NIEHUB) and Isiolo Youth Innovation Hub join this transformative 36-month initiative led by UNESCO, UN Women, United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), and United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), implemented through the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS), and supported by the Joint SDG Fund with the European Union as a key funder.
Each hub brings a distinct and underserved community to the programme. Lake Hub serves techies and the fishing communities of Kisumu, WISEHUB works with women and youth along Lake Victoria, NIEHub reaches girls and youth in Garissa, and Isiolo Hub serves marginalized communities in the arid and semi-arid North.
We could not be prouder of these four hubs for earning their place in this national pilot 💪🌍
Our objective is to promote activities and programs of the member hubs and support their vision of testing and building impactful sustainable businesses in rural and second tire towns of Kenya.
